East Links Family Park & Narrow Gauge Railway, Dunbar, EH42 1XF. Tel: 01368 863607. Open daily, 10am – 5pm, in July 10am - 6pm and in winter 10am – dusk. 11 miles south east, off the A1087 near West Barns. On bus route 120. Parking. East Links is a farm-themed activity park where the adults can have as much fun as the children! Pony rides available, bottle feeding of young animals, family go karting and crazy golf. Take a safari train round the Park and through the animal paddocks. For the under 7s there’s a soft play arena and enclosed bouncy castle.
East of Scotland Microlights, East Fortune Airfield, EH39 5SE. Tel: 01620 880332. Open all year, weather permitting. 5 miles south, on B1347. On bus route 121. Parking. Scotland’s longest-established microlight school. Learn to fly or take an ‘air experience’ flight in a two-seater aircraft over East Lothian’s lovely beaches and famous golf courses. Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar, EH42 1XF. Tel: 01620 860657. Open daily, 9am – dusk, all year for dry activities and March to November for wet activities. 9.5 miles south east, on the A199. On bus route 120. Parking. Foxlake Adventures is Scotland’s first cable wakeboarding park along with the UK’s only ropes course constructed over water. Wakeboarding, low ropes course challenge over water, big and small inflatable Ringo rides, woodland trails and off-road Segways. Award-winning Boardside café.
